Here at Healy Law LPP, we specialise in conveyancing of a property.
What is conveyancing
Conveyancing is the legal process of transferring property ownership from one person to another. It involves various tasks, like drafting and reviewing contracts, conducting searches (to ensure there are no legal issues with the property), and handling the financial aspects of the transaction (such as ensuring payment is made).
Are you in the process of
- Selling – Selling a property involves transferring the ownership of a house, apartment, or land) from one person (the seller) to another (the buyer) in exchange for money.
- Buying – buying a property is a big step and conveyancing will play a key role in making sure everything is in order, like checking for any issues with the title or potential legal disputes. It also ensures the seller actually has the right to sell the property.
- Remortgage – Remortgaging a property means switching your existing mortgage to a new deal, either with your current lender or a different one, without moving house. It’s often done to get a better interest rate, release some equity (borrow more money against the property), or to change the terms of the mortgage. People might remortgage to lower monthly payments, reduce the loan term, or access cash tied up in the property. It can be a good way to save money or make financial adjustments, depending on your situation.
